Electric smoke exhaust fire dampers are mainly used in mechanical smoke exhaust systems. They are 280℃ smoke exhaust fire dampers, normally in a normally open or normally closed state. When a fire occurs, they open automatically upon receiving an automatic alarm linkage signal from the fire. At the same time, they are equipped with a manual actuator for manual opening and can also be opened remotely from the fire control center (i.e., three control methods: linkage control, manual control, and automatic control). They are generally installed at air supply outlets, where air ducts pass through fire and smoke compartment partitions, and where air ducts in smoke exhaust machine rooms pass through walls. They close when the air temperature in the air duct reaches 280℃.

1. Smoke and Fire Insulation Function

In the air supply system, the air sent by the fan needs to be distributed to the risers through the main pipe; in the smoke exhaust system, the exhaust gas is drawn from the risers to the main pipe and discharged through the remote-controlled smoke exhaust fire damper.

2. Buffer Function

In the pipeline design of ventilation and air conditioning systems, although calculations are performed during design, if the actual operating conditions of the project change, it is necessary to control the air volume of each part of the system through the fire safety valve, conduct system commissioning, and fix the opening degree of the valve body for rational allocation to meet the design requirements.

3. No-Load Operation Function

For all centrifugal fans in ventilation and air conditioning systems and smoke exhaust axial fans dedicated to fire safety in smoke exhaust systems, during installation and commissioning, to ensure safety and minimize the starting current of the motor, no-load operation is generally adopted. This is achieved by temporarily cutting off the pipeline through the valve.
